Let me start off by saying this is no way intended to be anything more than constructive feedback. I have not lost faith in the team or project but having been someone who has contributed heavily to bringing awareness of the project as best as possible please take this as constructive feedback.
Delays happen especially in the tech field and missed windows happen but the launch window is the most critical timeline given and as much as it sucks, we all understand launching prematurely would hurt the success of the product.
There are 2 main issues I have seen and express myself, there is a lack of communication and still no relatively updated timeline. You gave a hard date for launch and obliterated that window, 1.5 weeks is no longer a âminor delayâ when it was posted a few days after the original date that we were nearly back on track. Quarterly updates were great when we had no hard dates but we do now and as a project who expresses community is everything, please properly communicate a new timeline with said community. If not, give proper updates as to what is happening and why we are still delayed within the official channels.
Which brings me to my next point, communication isnât coming out of the main sources but rather personal account of the team members. Although I follow these, majority do not and communication around delay shouldnât be limited to just community members of the project. Even following these, I am still out of the loop on what is being discussed and there is a lack of clear information circling around because of this. One can only imagine how overwhelming it is for a new member to go to the official âNashâ channels (twitter, blog, etc.) hoping to find a live exchange only to see a delay and no real updates on a new timeline or communication. We talk about customer onboarding and aquisition but these moves cause us to lose potential customers before theyâve even used the exchange. First impressions matter and so far even for someone who has been high on the project in the past I am pretty disappointed with the communication surrounding the delay. I hope this doesnât fall on deaf ears as it is meant to be nothing more than constructive critism, I have been more than patient throughout this project but there comes a time to voice criticism when it is warranted.
As always, I wish Nash and the team nothing but success and look forward to being part of something that will be revolutionary for all of fintech.
